Residential Solar in Bavaria, Germany

The town of Miesbach is in the Oberland region, right on the edge of the Bavarian Alps, 45 km southeast of Munich.

It is a center of Bavarian customs and folk costumes. The landscape around the town is characterized by beautiful farms and important cultural assets.

In the year 2000, the German government introduced the EEG (Renewables Energy Act) which led to a boom in the installation of new solar photovoltaic plants in both commercial and residential buildings. Farmers take advantage of their large roof areas and make up for a large portion of the residential solar installations in Bavaria and other parts of Germany.
